Eagle Radio Bauchi 96.5 is a radio station established to serve as a
source for developmental communication, a tool and bridge for
information dissemination to close gap existing between parts and
segments of the country.
The station operates under Eagle
Broadcasting Corporation Limited.
Eagle radio uses people-based programming format and modern
radio and communication technologies to disseminate genuine
media contents such as news, programmes and entertainments
among others to our audience all over the world.
In pursuance of the objective of broadcasting to the grass root
despite recurring constraints in broadcasting, Eagle Radio Bauchi is
faring better.
The station, broadcasting in different languages, is contributing in
areas of sociopolitical and economic mobilization, promotion of
peace, tolerance and understanding among the diverse ethnic
population of Bauchi state and its neighbors as well as raising the
consciousness of our people towards their civic rights and
obligations as responsible citizens of the Nigeria.
STRUCTURE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS: They are responsible for shaping and
directing policies of the organization.
MANAGEMENT
i) GENERAL MANAGER:
1.The Manager is the Chief Executive Officer of the station. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the
station.
He is to monitor and co-ordinate the activities of all heads of
Departments under the station to ensure effective performance.
ii) HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION AND COMMERCIAL SERVICES
1. He is responsible for general administration of the station.
2. He is responsible for co-ordinating, promotion, training,
discipline and all other administrative matters in accordance with
the laid down rules.
3. He is answerable to the General Manager.
4. He performs any other duty assigned to him by the General
Manager.
5. He collects and coordinates revenue generation, such as sales
of request cards, placement of advertisements, spot
announcements, jingles and programmes sponsorship.
6. He is to ensure that revenue generated through these and
other sources are properly receipted and documented in
accordance with financial instruction.
7. He is also to explore all other avenues to ensure sustainable
operation by the station.
iii) MANAGER PROGRAMMES:
1. He is the head of Programmes Department and responsible
for all programmes to be produced and aired on the station.
2. He co-ordinates the production and presentation by staff of
his department
3. He ensures strict compliance with the programmes schedule,
professional coverage and enlightenment on the cultural, values,
norms and matters of general interest to all communities.
4. He performs any other duty that may be assigned to him by
the General Manager.
iv) MANAGER NEWS AND CURRENT AFFAIRS:
1. Head of News oversees the News and Current Affairs
department of the station.
2. He is responsible for ensuring strict compliance with
professional ethics in the production of news bulletins of the
station.
3. He ensures proper coverage of events in news and current
affairs that reflect cultural norms and values of the people.
4. He performs any other functions assigned to him by the
General Manager.
v) MANAGER ICT AND ENGINEERING SERVICES:
1. He is to head the ICT and technical unit of the station.
2. He shall be responsible for operating the smooth operations
of the transmitter, the studio, all ICT related operations and the
power generator of the station.
3. He shall be reporting and recommending all technical
problems of the station to the General Manager.
4. He will perform any other duty assigned to him by the
General Manager.
