Bauchi State Governor appoints the Emir of Jama’are Alhaji Nuhu Ahmed Wabi as the 2025 Amirul Hajj in the State.

A statement signed by the special adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, contained the names of other appointees in the 2025 Hajj team to be chaired by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Jama’are.

The statement explained that Alhaji Nuhu Ahmed Wabi was appointed considering his wealth of experience, integrity, and leadership in religious and public affairs, as well as individuals with a track record of dedication and a deep understanding of Hajj operations.

The Hajj team has the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Abubakar Y. Sulaiman, as Deputy Amirul Hajj, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar, Chief Judge Bauchi State, Hon. Khadi Umar Liman Grand Khadi Bauchi State, and Alhaji Isah Babayo Tilde Commissioner for Local government and chieftaincy affairs as members.

The rest are Alhaji Bala Ahmed Baban Inna Chief Imam Bauchi central mosque and Engineer Mohammed Binni Abdulkadir Commissioner of Religious Affairs as member and secretary, respectively.

The team is directed to work in close collaboration with relevant authorities, including the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), to ensure a seamless and successful pilgrimage.

The statement highlights that the appointments underscored the state government’s commitment to provide guidance and religious oversight support, among other things, to ensure the spiritual well-being of Bauchi State Pilgrims throughout the Hajj exercise.

Governor Bala Mohammed urged the team to discharge their responsibilities diligently and in accordance with the utmost sincerity and principles of fairness, justice, and equity.

He called on all Pilgrims to cooperate fully with the Amirul Hajj team and uphold the sanctity and discipline expected during a sacred pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
